TAHUYA, Wash. -- A teenage girl has been arrested in Mason County for allegedly shooting her dad with an arrow after he took her cell phone away.

Detectives say the man told officers that his 15-year-old daughter used a hunting bow to shoot him Wednesday evening after he grounded her and took the phone. He's listed in serious condition at a Seattle hospital.

Deputies say the girl fled into woods behind her home with the bow and arrows but a SWAT team surrounded her and arrested her for investigation of first-degree assault.

I'm really surprised the story doesn't mention where exactly the father was shot.

I blame it on Hunger Games, which I'm reading right now. Katniss and her bow-hunting proficiency is a bad example to girls everywhere. ;)

From 9:24am to 4:53pm...that's a long time to milk a joke, my friend. But I got a chuckle.

MIght be more going on here -- no mother around, the dad and daughter live out in the woods alone. Cops said she was an emotional wreck, too much so to interview. Sounds like more than just a cell phone getting taken away.

There are always 2 sides to the story.and what happends behind closed doors only they know and some of her friends.what might seem like a great father daughter relationship aparently is not.She is not the type of girl who would shoot her Dad over a cell phone he had to of done something pretty bad to her in order for her to shoot him.i HOPE SOCIAL SERVICES GET INVOLVED i would hate for her to go back home after all that could you imagine the revenge he might have on her i guess it would be ok if she kept her mouth shut and let everyone think it was all her and go back to being daddys little girl to the out side world.
